Dr. J.M. Mathana, a distinguished academician, boasts an extensive background spanning over 33 years in Teaching, Research and Administration. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering, along with Master's degree in VLSI Design, she earned her Ph.D. under the Faculty of Information and Communication from Anna University, Chennai.

Aside from her academic pursuits, she has held numerous administrative positions for more than two decades. She has served as the Principal in Mangalam Engineering College, Kottayam, Kerala and Chennai Institute of Technology, Chennai. She has held roles such as Dean- Research in Hindustan Institute of Technology and was associated with R.M.K group of institutions as an Academic coordinator for over a decade. She has a rich experience in administration and is well aware of the NBA and NAAC process.

In the realm of research, Dr. J.M. Mathana has received funding of Rs. 14.9 lakhs from CVRDE for a CAR project. She has also authored 128 research papers in esteemed journals and has published a book titled “Design of Reconfigurable Parasitic Antenna”, Scholar’s press, Germany. She is a recognized Research Supervisor under Anna University and APJ Abdul Kalam University, Trivandrum and has produced 4 Doctorates and guiding 6 Research scholars. She has also served as an Editorial board member in distinguished international journals such as Advanced Research Trends in Engineering and Technology and Journal of Institute for Exploring Advances in Engineering.

Recognized for her contributions, Dr. J.M. Mathana has been honoured with the "Life Time Achievement Award" in 2019 from Joy Alukkas in association with KIMs hospital, “Research Excellence Award” in 2017 from Institute for exploring Advances in Engineering and “Outstanding Faculty Award in Electronics Engineering” in 2016 from Venus International Foundation.
