Coding Club

Welcome to one of the biggest clubs of JAYA SAKTHI ENGINEERING COLLEGE, Thiruninravur. The Department of CSE would like to have a continuous coding activity among all the students of the department. In this context, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering introduces “CODERS CLUB @ CSE-JSCE”. All the students of CSE are invited to share their knowledge in coding.

Learning the basics of computer programming is not only fun and interesting to the students but gives them a window to future paths that will be open to them. Some people are saying that along with foreign languages, coding is a language needed for jobs of the future.

The students will use different programs to begin to learn to code. At the end of the Semester there will a coding challenge and a possible competition with other colleges.

The students will also be using code to program a robot to maneuver through an obstacle or perform a feat.

A program dedicated to the idea that all students can benefit from learning about computational thinking.

Main objectives of this club are:

• To encourage students to study and practice programming in their areas of interest in order to improve their chances of landing a job.
• Learning Coding.
• Conducting Competitions.
• To compete in international coding championships like ACM-ICPC, Google Code Jam.
• Cyber sync focuses on Modern Engineering Technologies like internet of things (IOT), AI, Machine Learning, and latest programming languages like python and its applications.

ACTIVITIES

Boot Camp on Web Development (25th Feb 2022)

Web Development was a 2 hours event where computer programmers involved in graphic designing, web design and development. The idea was to get coding done in an extreme manner, to be started from scratch and end with a working prototype with in the 2 hours. This proved to be a successful event where the students were able to come up with beautiful prototypes after completion of the final time. The teams were to work on the different domains. The final participants worked on both software PHP as well as HTML.

Introduction to Python Programming (29th September 2018)

It is the second session of “Introduction to Python Programming” which includes discussion about “Variances of coding in various technologies”.

JSEC -CODERS CLUB OUTCOME

1. Coding Club helps members gain in-depth knowledge of coding. This helps them immensely during placements and can also bring laurels to the institution through various national and international programming contests.
2. The club helps members develop an aptitude for logical thinking and visualizing a problem from various perspectives and creating multiple innovative solutions. The country as a whole requires a lot more coders for it to achieve the goal of a ‘Digital India’. The club is doing its bit to help the country pursue this goal.
