Green Club

Jaya Sakthi Engineering college, Partnered with The Institution of green Engineers, (IGEN) Organised IGEN Green Day on 21/10/22 and its objective is to inspire people on being green and to carry out any one of the green actions on their own choice. It will be an opportunity for academic Institutions and NGOs to come together to advocate for green and act to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals UN SDGs. The welcome address was given by Dr.B.Gobinathan, principal of Jaya Sakthi Engineering College, He has highlighted the benefits of global warming, All the members were pledged to do their best in order to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions. The activity was commenced at 10.00 a.m.

The Program was scheduled with two events

  • Campus Tree plantation :- Campus Tree Plantation Tree plantation event was carried out with planting of 50 tree saplings in and around Campus with active participation of students and Staff Members of our Institution. for creating a Greener Environment.
  • Solid Waste Management :- Solid Waste Management Awareness and Campaign A total of 25 members including our college students and staff members organized this program. The campaign started from our college by collection of plastic wastes with support of Corporation Municipality officials, with proper safety precautions. Our students created awareness on the solid waste management and interacted with Garbage men and Public, enquired them about their daily challenges and difficulties. The Campaign extended from our College to Nemlicherry Railway station.

Valedictory Session

The Valedictory function was addressed by our Honourable Chairman Prof. Dr. A. Kanagaraj, Jaya Educational Trust. In his speech he congratulated and thanked all students and faculty members for having participated in IGEN GREEN DAY -2022 with full enthusiasm to create a Cleaner and greener Environment.

Our College Jaya Sakthi Engineering College has been Certified as Super Star and Star Performer and Certificate of Appreciation in the celebration of IGEN GREEN DAY -2022.

Our Beloved Principal Dr.B.Gobinathan, has awarded with ‘Green Mentor certificate’.

Mr.P.KARTHIKEYAN,Asisstant Professor,Department of Mechanical Engineering has been awarded for implementing a group of green volunteers in action for this Event. The students Who have participated in this event are provided with the Certificates.

EMPOWERING GLOBAL YOUNG LEADERS TO BECOME EFFECTIVE COLLABORATORS OF CHANGE.

Global Change makers is an international youth organization and global pioneer in supporting youth-led sustainable development.

Global Change maker Fellowship is an advancement program intended to interface and develop a pipeline of Social Change Leaders who are focused on handling challenges in their local communities.

The Fellows implement their initiative while participating in immersive workshops, training, and mentorship. The fellowship equips change makers with an opportunity to access global knowledge, community, training, and tools to become more effective collaborators of change and scale-up their initiatives.

Its is our pleasure to say that Student D.Tejas , 3rd year mechanical department has joined as a Fellowship Member in Global Change Maker,only 40 members can join in the Felloship.it is our Privilege that our student is also a one member in Connecting Dream Foundation.
