CHEMISTRY

The Department of Chemistry was established in the year 2001. It serves to provide strong foundation in Engineering Chemistry which in turn serves as a baseline for all of engineering streams. The department has undertaken the responsibility of imparting a strong foundation in branches of Chemistry such as Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry for all Engineering students.

This department constantly aims to provide a different hue to the technical curriculum and the main focus of engineering chemistry is to educate about the need of understanding chemistry related problems and applications coupled with environmentally friendly exercise. With this perception the faculty aims to train everyone to have proper hands on exposure in the laboratory experiments too.

The department aspires to offer quality education and training in Engineering and Technology, thereby making vital contribution to the industrial development of the country by making trained, competent and professional graduates through an effective educational process.

PEO5	In depth awareness in Nanochemistry for a unique approach to building devices with a molecular – scale precision.
PEO6	The advantages of nano-devices in medicine, computing, scientific exploration and electronics, where nanochemistry offers the promise of building objects atom by atom.

The department of mathematics inculcates good research culture and motivates the students for productive and constructive development in order to meet the expectations of the current scenario with the best of the ability. ENGLISH

The department of English came into being in 2001 along with the inception of the college. The English program exposes the students to the study of texts in contexts with emphasis on creative and critical understanding of life through language .it aims at developing research based subject knowledge in the students and focuses on creating scholars capable of independent research as well as learning and pedagogic practices .the department has also been engaged in fostering English language skills in student from diverse backround.thus empowering them to meet the challenges of globalised societies.
